MS Windows has evolued a great deal from Window 1.0 till Windows XP. Unfortunately many of us would not have had the privilege of working in each of those versions. How did the different versions of windows look like?

Here is the screen shot of MS windows since its initial release, version 1.0.

With the Divine Blessings and Grace of our Sai, Madras Boys participated in the Sidha Medical Camp and Vertinary Camp, last Sunday. Even though it rained heavily in Chennai, The Doctors and the Youth Team decided to go ahead with the grama seva, after due deliberation.  In spite of the cloudy condition at the village school premises,  there was no rain and approximately 858 Patients were given free medical treatment.

Simultaneously, with this Seva activity, 4 more Water Tanks were inaugurated, in 4 different villages, as part of Swami’s Birthday Celebrations. The 4 Water Tanks were built at – Malliankuppam School, Thandalam School, Perandur Village Hospital, and Perandur School. Perandur School incidentally, was the same venue, where the Medical and Vertinary Camp were also conducted.

About 2,500 children would be benefited by this water project. Water facility for the school toilets, were also newly provided, as the toilets built by the government, did not have water supply.

The Perandur Hospital, where the water facility was provided, caters to medical needs for about 10 villages around the district. On any given weekend, nearly 400 patients come for treatment and on an average, 5 deliveries take place, at the women’s ward. The hospital nurses used to bring water in pots from main road, during the delivery period and also for dressing open wounds at the First Aid section. Understanding the urgent need, water facility was provided , thus bringing great relief to the hospital staff and the patients.

Looking back, in the morning, we all were holding strong views, that the grama seva, should to be called off, because of the heavy rains. After the Grama Seva in the evening, Swami made us realize that his work never stops and that we are fortunate for being instrumental in His Divine work.

Ever wondered what you would actually see when you travel at the speed of light? Well, here is a computer simulated effect on how your vision would be while travelling at the speed of light.

Life has come a full circle for Ganguly. It is believed that he refused to carry drinks during the 1992 Australia tour. Now kiran more, the chairman of selectors, thinks that Ganguly cannot be made to carry drinks and the only place for him is to be out of the team.

Anyway I feel the treatment metted out to him is too harsh. A successful captain does not deserve this kind of an exit. It happened with Azhar where he was refused his 100th test and now with Ganguly. So Rahul watch out!!

When I read about PHI in The DaVinci Code, it was very surprising to know that a number could determine the way humans behave and the way things are organised in the universe.

Here is a good resource on the Golder Number.

Foucault's pendulum by Umberto Eco is a book about the Knight's templar... Boy, reading the book is really tough. Thought that all the reviewers must be joking. But it's really tough and challenging to keep up the pace.

For those interested in medieval history, this is a good book.

Sai Youth Chennai website is finally up and running. The site has the details of the service activities rendered, by the chennai youth a.k.a Madras Boys, in the metro area and also in the villages around chennai.

If you are interested in participating in social activities in your free time, you are welcome to join us.

Here is Scott's list of Ultimate Visual Studio.Net addins.

Had I known of del.icio.us earlier, it would have saved me a lot of time spent on searching and looking for my favourite articles.

It's pretty popular but for those who are still in the dark, del.icio.us is the best bookmark organizer. It's free and easy to use.

Wondered if IE would come up with a toolbar similar to FireFox and here it is!! Even though its not as good as firefox, it's a good start from Microsoft.

Looking at Scott's list of interview questions was a rude awakening to me! I miserably failed to answer most of them :(

ShivPrasad Koirala's book is a good book to start with. It's kind of a ready reckoner.

Another list of Interview Questions.

Scott has provided a treasure of tools list. Wonder if I might use atleast 20% of them!!

At last!! Time has come to step into the big family.

Dasblog Rocks!! I am very much awe'd by the way the code is organised. Still a long way to go to fully disassemble the code and understand its functionality!

First of all a lot of thanks to all the dotnet guru's out there who have had an invisible hand in helping me to learn the technology.
