For the last 2 years every kuppu and suppu have been filing law suits against Kamal, claiming that their story is plagiarized for Dasavatharam. I wrote this story almost 2 years back and can I claim that I think on the same lines as Kamal?

My blood just ran cold on seeing the below picture.

An Iraqi women hugging her dying son. Here is the description from the photojournalism website

A woman takes her dead son into her arms, as she grieves for her six-year-old son, Dhiya Thamer, who was killed when their family car came under fire by unknown gunmen in Baqouba, capital of Iraq's Diyala province, 60 kilometers (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad, Iraq, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. The boy's ten-year old brother, Qusay, was injured in the attack as the family returned from enrolling the children in school, where Dhiya was to begin his first year. "Last Touch"

The mother looking straight into the kid's eyes and the little child catching hold of his mother tells us all the tale about the life in Iraq. What have this kids done to deserve such a life. How many civilian lives have been lost due to this stupid war. The American soldiers did not kill this kid, alright, but who is responsible for the rise of insurgents in Iraq?

America, Please choose a good president this time. We don't want to see the one who says this or the one who still defends her war on Iraq vote.

Run, don't walk, to the newly launched language learning site, Mango. It's awesome and more than that, it's FREE. It's a flash based audio interactive site with a nice look and feel. The audio quality is very good. A learning course is divided into lessons and each lesson is in turn divided into slides. There are around 100 lessons for each course.

The slides starts with formal introductory speech to more casual ones and our learning is tested at the end of every slide. The Mango languages available now are

  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Russian
  • Mandarin
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Greek
  • Portuguese

I am hooked on to this site for now but at the same time I am also not sure how the site is going to make money in order to provide free lessons. Will they be free for ever or once the beta testing is done, will they charge for the courses? Let's wait and see but until then, this is one of the coolest web sites around.
